And even during lunch break at school Auntie Rie\u2019s macaroni and cheese brought in lucrative revenues to a budding entrepreneur. Yes, I sold my macaroni and anyone else\u2019s piece I could hi-jack from their lunch bags before we left the house. A side dish to a Bahamian meal, macaroni and cheese is also a regular accompaniment for sure on Sunday and at Christmas.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:           \r\n            <div class=\"onp-locker-call\" style=\"display: none;\" data-lock-id=\"onpLock632134\">\r\n                <p><\/p>\n<p>1 \u2013 8oz pkg\u00a0\u00a0 Elbow or cut macaroni pasta<\/p>\n<p>1 medium\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Onion, chopped small<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd med.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Green Bell pepper, chopped small<\/p>\n<p>2 \u00bd cups\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cheddar cheese, sharp \u2013 grated<\/p>\n<p>1 tbsp\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Butter or margarine<\/p>\n<p>1 can\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Evaporated milk<\/p>\n<p>2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Eggs<\/p>\n<p>1 med.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hot pepper<\/p>\n<p>1 tsp\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Thyme<\/p>\n<p>Salt and pepper to taste<\/p>\n<p>Dash of paprika (optional)<\/p>\n<p>Preparation:<\/p>\n<p>Boil macaroni in salted water until soft and slightly over cooked. Drain water. While hot add 1 \u00bd cups of cheese and all other ingredients. Mix until blended. Pour into a well-greased baking pa. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and then paprika. Bake at 300\u00ba for 30 minutes or until firm. Remove from oven and let stand for 15 minutes before serving. Cut into squares and serve. Allow any? Uneaten portions to cool at room temperature before storing in refrigerator.<\/p>\n<p>May be served with chicken, beef, fish or eaten alone.
